While this is certainly true, there are considerable disadvantages to having Target compete with Wal-Mart. Consumers might (stress the word "might") see this competition result in lower prices. Yay for consumers! But,that competition could also result in decreased wage/benefit packages for Target employees. This is already happening in areas where Target and Wal-Mart are in close proximity.
And, I'm not so sure that Wal-Mart could be seen as a "needed" employer. Yes, we need jobs but do we really need them from this company and all the baggage it brings.
