Workers being opressed!!!
Isn't that interesting Jeanne!
And doesn't it make for a nice dig, guaranteed to get
the blood of our already hyped up socialists boiling!
What a CROCK!
Did you know that the owner of Fabulous Ferns (on
Selby) had signed a contract to install a new $12K air
filtration system...before Dave Thune came to our
rescue?
Dave did. Too bad he didn't mention the fact that he
would be flushing the investment down the toilet
before the owner had made the outlay. (Ah, what the
heck, his rich daddy prob'ly paid for it right Chuck?)
Take a trip over to the hated Eagle Street Grill and
look up Jeanne, look up. What you see is an air
exchange system! Yes Jeanne it is!
It not only blows out the bad 'ol smokey air, it draws
in Mother's Own and even *filters* it before allowing
it to float gently to breathing level. Yes it does!
And ya know what's best of all?
Both of these employers allow their poor downtrodden
workers to *share* this nice clean air! AT NO CHARGE!
Hey, I've got a solution that should make everyone
hap, hap, happy.
If it's the workers we are so worried about, how about
let's mandate that the owners of bars and resturaunts
purchase gas masks for their employees.
People who work in trades that involve toxic
atmospheres all the time! Painters, technicians,
printers & etc. They all do just fine. Let's just add
our poor waiters and waitresses to the list.
And we could mandate that resturaunts and bars have a
supply of gas masks hanging next to the door, or
better yet pass them through an air tight chamber to
anxious non-smokers outside, waiting to get in!
