I think these rules are GREAT! They remove all responsiblity for the safety and well-being of list members from the the Forum Manager and the Board! Could you make up some rules like this for teachers at school? How about the police and civil authorities (wiait I think they already have rules something like this.) How about religious leaders. Right, ditto.
Instead of some rules like this, why doesn't the Board and whoever is making up the rules figure out a policay on how they are going to deal with "bullies". If this forum allows bullies to threaten other list members in an effort to squash discussion, everyone loses. I have left other lists because of bigots (one guy didn't like my support of gays and lesbians or the fact that I have a gay son.) so he threatened me. He was a list manager. I haven't said much lately on here but I've been watching. Pretty sad. I think people need to figure out if they want the bullies to rule the playground and make the rules. And do they want E-democracy to say it's not our problem. That's a bunch of _ _ _ _! Does e-domocracy want to hold an open forum or not? Sheesh. I've never heard of anything so ridiculous.
