What would be helpful, would be suggestions as you how it is that you would like the List Manager and E-Democracy Board to take action in regards to private email exchanges between list members?
Do you really want the E-Democracy board "reviewing" and taking action in response to messages that you send directly to other participants "offline."
The criticisms above suggest that E-Democracy is trying to "duck" responsibility. The fact is, that we we are trying to figure out how to deal with this in a fair and responsible manner.
Keep in mind that we have volunteer list managers. Who is going to take the job of being a volunteer list manager, if taking the job means accepting responsibility for private threats issued between list members?
I don't like the options in front of us either and am really hoping that we get some constructive suggestions as opposed to flaming attacks.
Anyone......
Best wishes,
