But instead, he chose to create an issue that I suspect is more reflective of his political views than any desire to keep the FM free of politics.

This might be correct, but it might not be. I'd be cautious about attributing this to personal politics. People often make false assumptions about my politics based upon the way on manage the forum - when my actions are governed more by how I feel the forum should be run than my personal politics.

Assumptions were made about how two list members might react to Right to Lifers canvassing at the Farmer's Market. Both of those list members have made clear that their commitment to free speech transcends political ideology.

The actions of the Farmer's Market manager might be based purely on what he feels is best for the Farmer's market - and have nothing to do with politics.

On the other hand, inconsistencies in how the policy has been enforced have been pointed out, so it MIGHT be based on politics. I really don't know.

I would just caution everyone to refrain from making this about the politics of one individual. It's the larger issue that is of interest, the interest of how much access political activists should have to the Farmer's market in our Democracy.

I've heard some very positive feedback on the quality of this discussion and would like to thank everyone for keeping it on the issue and away from personalities. I find the differing perspectives on this issue to be very interesting and valuable.

Best wishes,
