Big surprise that Kelly vetoed the second smoking ban.
It addresses everyone of the concerns in his first
veto and he still goes ahead and vetoes it.

Where are those Kelly supporters who said that Mayor
Kelly was promoting a regional-wide approach? Where is
the regional approach now that Minneapolis and
Bloomington and Saint Paul have different ordinances?

Please explain to us how feuding bars, every bar and
restaurant, that wants smoking, will now say that 50%
of their sales are from liquor, creates a regional
solution. I, for one, will never set foot in Mancini's
and Fabulous Ferns again. At least not while Nick
Mancini is alive and Charles Sinkler is involved with
Fern's. I think I will start to ask all
establishments, "Do you allow smoking" and if they do,
simply not patronize them.

Maybe after the election is done, we can gather a list
of places that still allow smoking, or maybe the City
should be required to publish such a list, so we know
what places to avoid, as public health hazards.
