Cristy and others: I would take it a step further than Cristy and state that the endorsement in all parties means really nothing. As a person who at unanimous endorsement in my (then) party, the IP, when the good old boys want someone else they will do an end run around anyone, and find a way to run whomever they choose. In this regard, they believe they know better than anyone. If you actually DO get the endorsement and they think they have someone better waiting in the wings, (Tom Foley) they will do anything they can to undermine your candidacy, in spite of you maybe gleaning the endorsement of your party.
That is why I am party-less. If an entity cannot follow their own rules, why would you want to belong? I believe it is supposed to be a non-partison race anyway, so you would be better off running completely independent of any party and not get knocked out by some back room, cigar smoking, gentlemen, and I use the term "gentlemen" loosely. If you are called to run and have the passion to run, no one should have the right to knock you out of the race, until the public decides to do that with their vote. Cristy, as always has great wisdom in her post.
