Two other incidents come to mind. In 1979 a deer jumped through a small glass garage window in a Lowertown warehouse I once owned now called the Market House or where Sawadee Restaurant is located. It had to be tranquilized and released, and made TV news.
About four years ago I pulled four baby raccoons out of my chimney from in the living room. I released them down by the river. The mother came back and tried to get into the living room from inside the flue. A few days later I saw the same mother raccoon in my back yard with what must have been the same four babies.
