We don't pass ordinances to close a business. Bonfire is what started this.
A century of irrefutable, accumulated data on the health hazards of smoking
and a nation grown weary of being sick and tired from the blue haze of
poisons that kills millions every yearthrough no choice and no fault of
their ownto enrich the nicotine business is what has done this.

Surely, intelligent debaters know that no one bar opening in 2004 is
responsible for the flood of laws here and in many states forbidding smoking
in public placeslaws enacted long ago they're both successful and more
comprehensive. Bonfire is the least of our worries, and this is the problem
with anecdotal information. It belies the larger questions of overall public
health and worker safety.
