As a point of clarification, I am not opposed to
increasing the funding for our public schools. I am
in favor of providing people with enough information
to make an articulate case.

I joined the Citizens Budget and Finance Advisory
Committee (CBFAC) for the Saint Paul Schools. After a
number of meetings and a pretty thorough briefing by
staff I still find the funding for public schools
confusing.

So what I was trying to ask where two seperate but
linked questions:

1) Are there some ways that we could better spend the
money we have?

2) What things will remain underfunded no matter how
we move around the existing funds?

It seems to me that if you can't answer these
questions, you aren't likely to move the no new taxes
crowd.
