I caucused in Ward 1, Precinct 13. There were about 20
people present. There was some discussion of the
merits of Ortega and Coleman and a pretty unanimous
opposition to Kelly. Sandy Pappas spoke on behalf of
Ortega. My sense was that a majority favored Coleman,
mostly because of a perception that he was more
capable of raising the money required to beat Kelly. A
single resolution was adopted. It was to the effect
that no street, public building or any other public
facility be named after Ronalf Reagan.
I spoke briefly about the St. Paul e-democracy forum
and passed out the flyers. I got a few questions about
the forum and I thought people were quite receptive.
We'll see if that results in any new participants.
