I am Mike Fratto from the Payne Phalen neighborhood.
I have an MBA in Public Administration from the College of St.
Thomas. I attended Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Grade
School, Freshman year at Mary T. Hill High School and graduated from
North St. Paul HS in the mid 60's. I have worked for the state of
Minnesota in, what is described as, an internal management
consultant more than 32 years. I created and run a non-profit
organization that raises money for grant to food shelves and
shelters. I also serve on other non-profit boards, one an
international association. I also do program evaluation for another
well known non-profit.
My politics are mostly liberal although probably more progressive
than many DFLers. I am also somewhat of a fiscal conservative, but
don't believe in no new taxes, just fiscal restraint. I also don't
believe you cut social programs to balance the budget.
I am the father of one, stepfather of two. I am active with my
son's soccer and Cub Scout activities and various ministries at
church.
