I can't wait for those strict constructionist supreme court justices.

And just what kind of society does capitalism build
when one has to be "aware" of possible dangers lurking
around every turn. It's a sick society / or at least
an undereducated one, that allows it. When a society
is cooperative instead of competitive, a whole
different attitude would prevail that would remove
those dangers that we all must be "aware" of.

By the way, did you know that the term "Caveat Emptor"
is the first thing you learn when you study capitalist
economics? When I did it, it was written in italics!

No...we don't have those constitutional rights to
clean air or clean water and the reason why could be
that the founding fathers were all pro-business.
Capitalists, if you will. They didn't care about
anything or anybody but themselves and the
preservation of their own wealth. In fact, the
celebrated term: "We, the People", DID NOT apply to
the citizens originally. What the fathers were talking
about were themselves and people like them or in other
words, the wealthy.

In fact, the whole constitution was written with the
idea of preservation of wealth. Notice that there was
no individual income tax demanded.

The constitution was also written to protect business
contracts.

The bill of rights, which I think that your referring
to, was included to bribe the states for ratification.

Today, even republicans agree, the document is just a
shell.

It should be discarded and used to light Fidel's cigar
:=) Today we have much better writers and with the
power of hindsight in effect, a much better document
could be written and enjoyed by all.

Yup, those civil rights sure are inconvenient to
have to deal with, aren't they? Believe it or not, you have no Constitutional
right to breath clean air, especially when you are choosing where you are
breathing it. Just like I have no right to expect clean water if I choose to
go swimming at the waste treatment plant. Caveat Emptor pal.

The bullies in this drama aren't the truck drivers
and factory workers who want to have a legal smoke with their after-work
beer, it's the bureaucrats and self-appointed social engineers who are.
