I have a few honest "good government" questions that perhaps someone could
answer:

What will the process to review this bond issue look like? Is there public
input? Will the public be given a specific description of what is proposed, and
what the City's end goals are in each project? How was this list arrived at,
and how might public suggest other projects?

Just in case the stories have gotten to far ahead of the projects what happened
at the last HRA meeting was that the City Council asked the Planning Staff to
come in with a report on everything that they were currently "working on," or
trying to find funding for. Any and all of these projects were ones that
either the council or the Mayor had asked PED to develop a funding plan to make
happen. The director of PED proposed that the City bond for all of the
projects together using sale tax dollars as the revenue stream to pay off the
bonds. The Council hasn't said if they even think that kind of bonding is a
good idea or not. I would guess that at some future date the HRA will have
that discussion - to bond or not to bond - before it looks at how much for what.
