Sandy Pappas was at our meeting last night and she assured me that the Holman Field dike is out of the bonding bill and it won't come back. I said that I had heard that before, but she assured us that it was out.
She did also mention that the funding for Como Park and the biotech investments (which were both in the Senate and House bills) both "mysteriously" disappeared. They've got a good story (they're focussing on the Minnesota Zoo and another biotech project) but I say if Kelly threatened and it "mysteriously" happened then we need to start nailing him up on this one. If it wasn't because of him then he should learn not to make such rash threats. She also mentioned that it was the Chair of the committee (who's name escapes me right now) that put the dike in the bill.
