Well, go figure.
I have a new advertising idea... "Discerning Parakeets agree! The St. Paul Pioneer Press is the best!"
I also just found out today that their main circulation call center is in freaking South Carolina. I wouldn't be surprised if the publisher had his buddy Lee Atwater set it up before Atwater died. Pure speculation, but call it an educated guess. I can understand a paper such as the Pioneer Press not wanting to hire any of us danged liberal Minnesotans.
On a similar topic, did anyone notice how all the local TV stations [except for channel 4] appear to be stumping for the Governor with his nominations of three women to the bench [Michelle Bachman clones?], while *NOT* reporting that tomorrow, Friday, he is having the most partisain divisive and evil man in America to do a fundraiser in St. Paul for him? Can you say Karl Rove? I strongly urge all people in St. Paul to express that Karl Rove has no relation to Minnesota Values to the Governor's office.

OK already!! Jerry Trooien is trying to develop a large tract of river basin land and he's planning on asking the city to throw in tons of money and some will come back by way of taxes---this scenario is nothing new. Why is the Pioneer DePress giving us mountains of pablum related to behind the scenes information about this guy like he's walking on water? Didn't they just do a lengthy article a couple of weeks (maybe a month) giving us all the gory details builidng the deal up to be some kind of life changing experience for all of us? Why today's aritcle citing many of the same things, but this time offereing some strange character analysis that reads like some kind of mythical character creation---bizarre to say the least. Could Susan and Randy have asked their buddies at the Pioneer Press to start a love affair with our local east side mythical home boy so when the deal starts to pump millions of dollars to super Jerry's dream site we'll all jump for joy because we revere him so much?
