Redundancy, and as part of it having more than one way to calculate tissue loading and resulting decompression information on the fly, is one of the core concepts of technical diving. And these days a large majority of technical divers meet this requirement by carrying more than one dive computer.

And there are good reasons for why Subsurface is the dive log of choice for a lot of the technical divers out there, not least of all the fact that we've got a pretty good decompression planner built in.

But there's also reasons they keep us away from vacation divers in most cases. 😝
