With the current version (you can check on the Help->About page - it should now 
give a four digit version number and list 6.0.5569.125 (or greater)) it should 
work regardless of the mode the phone or the app is in. I have tested the six 
combinations (phone in light/dark, app in the three themes) and at least for me 
it works in each combination.

I I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. The app does not follow the 
phone setting, it has its own theme setting. So in order to see a dark mode in 
the app you need to go to Settings and open the Theme part...

I guess we could add an 'auto' mode as default that follows the phone so that 
new installs get something that aligns with their overall settings...
