I had a moment of panic yesterday when I thought I'd sent another
personal message to the whole list but I must have got it right by
mistake!

My only defence is that I make quite a lot of not-too-bad sundials??

I'm tempted to mischievously suggest, even if I have to split an
infinitive to do it, that only those who have actually made a working
sundial should be allowed to vote but no doubt that would bring down
oceans of wrath upon my head. A similar suggestion to my university
academic subject committee years ago that membership should only be
granted to those who could sit and pass an 'O' level exam paper wasn't
too well received either - I wonder why? ;-)
