Thanks for your quick reply, John - but I don't see how you could possibly
infer from my message that we get 'complaints', or lose 95% of our market!

In the almost 20 years that we have been running this business (comprising
many tens of thousands of customers worldwide), we have NEVER received any
form of complaint that our double-ring "Sunclock" is in any way inaccurate
at telling correct clock time - either Standard or Daylight-Saving, unless
some customer has not followed our specific measurements and instructions.

Please note our layout is NOT just a 'traditional analemmatic', having two
Hour-marker rings based around a normal Date-scale. BOTH its double-ring,
AND the Date-scale are 'modified' so as to effectively create layouts that
accurately tell clock time at any time of day, or year - and automatically
change-over from indicating Standard to/from Daylight-Saving time, without
needing a person to add or subtract an hour. Its main advantage (over the
conventional analemmatics), is that it will 'track' a person's shadow in a
much better way throughout the year. Frans Maes (an acknowledged 'expert'
on analemmatic dials) has called our version "very smart", and illustrates
an example on his own Web-site. You have simply assumed that we have just
added another ring to a traditional layout, which would obviously not work
correctly - and I request your 'apology', for the hasty comments you made.
In addition to Copyright, we hold the 'Design Right', (similar to but more
flexible than a patent) on the layout of our novel double-ring "Sunclock".

Just to clarify - we ONLY provide 'double-ring' layouts to countries which
HAVE Daylight-Saving, and 'single-ring' layouts to countries which do NOT.
In the case of Turkey (which does use DST), it is not our policy to supply
a 'single-ring' layout - even if a customer specifically asks us to do so!
We could obviously very easily supply traditional layouts if we wanted to,
but we leave such one-ring analemmatics to be supplied by other designers.

Therefore the only customers which we might 'lose' are those who prefer to
have a single-ring (perhaps due to cost considerations), in locations that
use Daylight-Saving time - but that is a small loss when compared with the
advantages of selling accurate double-ring "Sunclocks" in those locations,
because every layout automatically becomes its own 'advertisement' for us.
If we sold 'single-ring' plans to DST areas, then those would not function
as effectively as our 'double-ring' version - which is why we don't do it,
since that is what could perhaps damage our worldwide business reputation.
