All of us have read those sunday-newspaper articles about Stonhenge, the Pyramids and the sun aligning with certain stones on certain dates... Most of us know that many of them are true but trivial (one does *not* need to know much about astronomy to calculate that: just sleeping in the open air!) and some others are just coincidences... Well, one of these coincidences can be seen (according to M Lombardero and N. Marquet) in the Arc de Triomphe in Paris (France). If you stand looking at it from the Rond Point de la Avenue des Champs Elysees in May 11th at 21:00 or in July 31st at 21:10 you'll be able to see the Sun setting just in the gap of the Arc. Apparently the sight is wonderful but, does anybody have a picture of this phenomenon? Does anybody know about similar phenomenae in natural or urban landscapes? I suppose there must be many
