Hi John and all

I contend that the Green Flash should also be visible

You are right John. A few years ago, I was in an observatory in south french
Alpes, at 3000 m altitud. We was observing the sunrise and was able to see
not one but 6 or 7 green flashes ! I did'nt believe it before seeing myself.
To do this achievement, we start on the top of the montain, wait the
sunrise, almost everytime because of the surprise we don't see the green
flash, but we go down so the sun set again, and the second time we know
exactly where the sun will rise and it's much more easy to see the green
flash. go down again so the sun set again and another green flash etc. !!!
In this observatory, it's the tradition for astronomer, after a night
observation to wait the sun rise and try to see the more green flashes, I
believe the record was 12 or 13 !!!

à bientôt
François
