I would think it depends on what applications you would run as an end user on the Sun Ray Server as to whether it would be ideal. I don't believe any formal tests have been run ith Sun Ray using the T1 chips, at least not by the product team. Not sure how many end user apps out there are multithreaded or don't use floating point.

They had one setup at the Usenix conference this week. I asked the engineer there about SRSS on it, and he said that it was one of the ideal applications for this server. It certainly has potential, but I'd really like to set one up and test it (or at least hear from somebody who has) before I'd consider purchasing any for this purpose.

Hi

Has an one got their hands on one of Suns new CoolThreads Servers?
I would imagine that SRSS would run well on one of these machines.
