We are using Skype, because we found that to have the best sound quality at present, and because it's available for OS X, Linux, and Windows (the platforms that we use). However, it is not yet available for Solaris. So I tried to make it work by accessing a Windows desktop from the Sun Ray, but it somehow did not recognize the sound device.

What VOIP solution do those customers use?

Thanks,

what put an end to my exclusive remote desktop use was our team's adoption of Skype as a primarily communication tool. I couldn't get Skype to work on the Sun Ray (even by accessing a Windows desktop), and that necessitated switching back to my Linux laptop as the primarily work tool.

It would be helpful if you would elucidate on the issues you
ran into and the version of SRSS you were using (or timeframe).

Significant work has been done recently for improving latency
for VoIP purposes, and some major customer successes have
occured utilizing it.
