No it's done the the firmware. If you've ever used a tadpole comet
their is a keystroke to get into the FW menu, Stop-M. Same thing. You
can password protect this as well.

No global setting. However via your Sun rep, you can sign a PRLA
(Pre Release License Agreement) that will give you early access to
firmware that will allow you to set the MTU in the firmware, just as
you can with a Tadpole Comet. Have your Sun rep contact the folks
Sun Ray Marketing.

Hello,
Can anyone help us with the following case?
We have sunrays behind a vpn.
In order to get acceptable performance we need to set the mtu size
to something lower than 1500.
This can be done with dhcp option 26 on the dhcp server which
provides the sunray with an ip number.
But in some cases we have to use a dhcp server which we don't
control or the dhcp server on location does not have an interface to
set this option. We were wondering if we could inform the sunray
server directly about the mtu size it should use.
If the sunray is able to inform the sunray server about the correct
mtu size it should use, it might also be possible to inform the
server from another source. Does such a way exists? Or is there a
global setting we can use?
Help would be appreciated a lot.
Thanks,
Ivar
