Well, no, that would have been too
easy, too big for their workspaces and too expensive for them.
And, of course, audio level settings, the 3-finger salute to see Sun
Ray settings ... don't mean much to the bean counters.

What I have found is that the Symbol Scanner works well with the Sun
Type 7
keyboard. Any other brand will turn the num-lock off on every scan
(tried Apple, Dell, Microsoft, IBM)
I seem to recall there was some theory that we could program the
scanner to send a different country code to prevent this, but since I
use all Sun Type 7 keyboards I never investigated any further.
