I think he means when you install a program say from blastwave, how do
you get launcher icons for those programs setup on every users desktop.
Personally I don't know the answer either. I imagine he means in the
JDS Launch menu to be specific. So say you install Firefox from blastwave, how do you get Firefox to show up in "Launch -> Applications -> Internet" for all users. Or say you install Gimp how do you change the launcher in "Launch -> Applications -> Graphics -> Image Editor" to launch the blastwave version of gimp for all users. Still haven't figured this out myself on Solaris. I'm assuming he is running Solaris too, cause of the /opt question. If that's not what he meant, I would still like to know the answer :) Though this seems more a question for the Solaris or a Linux users list, not really a Sunray question.
