I have also been trying to figure out how to add a desktop launcher/icon for all users. Thanks, Jorg, for the pointer to the Java Desktop System Administration Guide. That provided a good deal of information and I have added a Launch menu selections for all users. However, I have not been able to successfully add a launcher/icon to each users desktop without putting the app.desktop file in each users home/Desktop directory. Is there common directory where the .desktop files can be located so that the launcher/icon will show up on all user's desktops?
