A large number of the inexpensive USB/Serial adapters work on Sun Ray.
Whether they say supported or not.

Yes, it's pretty easy. look at the man page for uttsc. it has an option
for forwarding COM ports. You may also want to look at this page for a
script to keep the port device links always in the same place.
