Hello Bob,
I use dtlogin.
There was no link for 0100.SUNWut in /usr/dt/config/Xsession.d.
I have copied the 0100.SUNWut.sh to /usr/dt/config/Xsession.d and sound
is now working.
So the missing 0100.SUNWut link seemed to be the problem.
I know gdm will replace dtlogin in the near future but do you know if
there is a direct performance advantage in using gdm instead of dtlogin?
Kind regards,
Ivar

Likely these scripts are not linked into the right place then.
I'm timing out and don't have time to search to recall whether you use
dtlogin or gdm.
dtlogin used to use /usr/dt/config/Xsession.d and 0100.SUNWut had to
be linked into there.
gdm uses /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d and scripts have to be linked into
there. They should be executable.
It's the Display Manager's responsibility to execute these files,
usually as a result of logic in its Xsession script. You could try
chasing it down from there.
Make sure the /opt/SUNWut/lib/utctl.d/features/utgdmconfigctl logic
has been run. It should be run after you reboot your system and it
sets up gdm for SRSS.
