I'm just beginning the upgrade scenario on my S900. About to add 512megs
of ram to the 160 I ordered when new. Still running 0S 8.1, with FWB HD
and CD drivers. I've just ordered the Sonnet Tempo Ultra ATA66 PCI card
and a IBM 40GB 7200rpm drive. I'm running Conflict Catcher 8, with the
Apple CD and HD drivers . I'd really like to format the new drive using
the Apple drivers, then eventually reformat my 2GB SCSI to Apple drivers
too.Any suggestions? I know running both drivers is a conflict
situation, so how do you suggest I do this. I also intend to upgrade to
OS9.1, and could do this as part of the process if it'd be easier? Can I
just install the IDE card and new drive and do a full OS9.1 install on
that drive using the Apple Drivers? Any sugestion on partitioning? I'm
not into games, but use the machine for Photoshopo5.5. I'm open to any
advice or sharred experiences I can get from the list. It has been a
great source on knowledge for me in the past and will be in the future.
Thanks, Paul
