Hi All
I did mention that according to a tech at Sonnet, if you run their G4
with any OS prior to 9.1 and you don't install the AltaVec extensions,
your G4 really is running as a G3. So "technically" I was running as a
G3 for a while. When I upgraded my software there was a further speed up
noticeable most clearly with PhotoShop. When I made Appletalk inactive
(I have no need for it at this time) programs like FilemakerPro flew
open almost instantly. I don't know if I added anything of value to this string...
