Cable pulling lubricant, slathered on the cable as it is being unspooled and fed
through the
hole, makes things a lot easier and prevents ripped cable insulation.
If you don't have a gizmo to naturally unspool the cable (especially for romex ac
cable),
it's best if someone is unspooling and feeding the cable while the other one pulls
from the
other end. Otherwise you'll end up with a kink and get hung up somewhere, resulting in
ripped/torn insulation - not a good thing.
Even with a chase, lubricant will make a huge difference. - trust me.
A cable can be pulled quite a distance by one person if you try the two suggestions.
(Nancy helps with the feed and Ron will hardly grunt.)
