I have had a persistent problem with the IXMicro Twin Turbo (tt128m) graphics card that came with my S900. I have learned to live with it, but maybe one of you can help put it to rest.
About half the time, when I restart the S900, I get stuck on 640 x 480 resolution instead of the 1024 x 768 I prefer. Neither the Twin Turbo control panel nor the regular monitor control panel offer any other choices. Sometimes, another restart brings back 1024 x 768, but usually a shutdown and power up is required. I have loaded the latest firmware I could find and have messed around with renaming the Twin Turbo extensions to be early in the load sequence. Sometimes these changes seem to increase my chances of retaining desired resolution, but none seem to fix it permanently. I was running OS 8.6 for a long time, but recently loaded 9.1 and have the same problem. Any suggestions? - Gary -- -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
