Salutations everyone, I have a c500 (603e/200) and I am trying to upgrade the memory in the thing. I bought a 64MB module for it but its not working. Did the OS reload and everything. Didn't work. I bought EDO 2k RAM, could I need non-EDO RAM? Or could the memory just be bad? I bought it from Other World Computing ( http://www.macsales.com ), anyone know if they have a good track record? (The support desk there said that their techs say I need non-EDO RAM, this is contrary to everything that I have read on the subject though.)
BTW, is it common for the CD ROM drive to not work when installing OS 8.5 on this system? Its a pain in the neck, no matter what extension I disable it still wont work. (but I can boot with the OS 8 CD just fine... Weird.) Starting to like my 68k Macs more and more.... Thanks John -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
