Whoa, haven't posted in a long time! But here goes:

OWC is pretty good, I'd recommend their RAM to any Supermacker out there. I
bought two 64s for my C600/180 about two years ago (when 64MB EDO DIMMS were
$180 a piece!) which worked somewhat but gave me some weird lines around
windows and caused crashes ever so often. After nearly a year with the bad
RAM I called OWC with my problem and the tech gave me a RMA#.

I finally ended up with a working pair that were tested personally in a C600
by the techs at OWC. Great company, knowledgeable tech support staff, prompt
service. They're good.

I've only used EDO because I read on the Supermac site that EDO was better
than FPM in all the C-Series. However the C-class is notoriously finicky
about RAM even more so than the Apple 6400-6500. I don't know what advantage
FPM could bring but I have heard also that in some cases it's more
compatible.

The stock CD-ROM may not be compatible with the Apple CD drivers. Try
disabling it and using something like CD/DVD Speedtools or hack the Apple
driver. There was an article at www.resexcellence.com explaining how to mod
the Apple driver to work with non-Apple drives.

Well, hope that helps. Sure was a nice study-break to chat about Macs. Now
back to Finals!

Seth
