I might be missing something, but can you get the firmware update from
the Apple website off you s900? It might reduce further hassle.
On the other hand if you are going to continue your current path you
might need to reset the motherboard. Depending on what Imac it is, of
course. On the slot load version you can flip it upside down and open the
rear access door and take a pencil and press the reset button that is down
and to the left.
