Alan,

I can't address the HDST/G4 Apple issue specifically, but the Que M3 drive
that I have attached to my G4 needs a couple or three minutes from the time
the drive is powered up till the machine notices it. Apple G4/Mac OS 9.1.
Naturally, if the drive is powered when the machine is booted, it gets
mounted with the other volumes. IIRC, it is not formatted with Drive Setup
either, but I could be wrong.

Hi, folks -

I am wondering if HDST extensions for firewire support has to be loaded
when an external firewire drive is formatted with HDST.

Just trying to make sure it is absolutely the drive that is defective
before I send it off (with my files) for a replacement.

Thanks,

Alan
