I'm still hoping for some feedback from anyone on installing an IDE Zip
Drive on the VST ATA66 card. Educated guesses even, anybody? I've
installed the drive but am having problems. Have even reinstalled the
Iomegaware drivers with no luck.

The zip Drive is Atapi based. So far nothing will mount any zips that are
known Mac formatted, and in fact which work fine when I put the same disk in
the external scsi zip which I also have reconnected. Each utility seems to
'see' the drive ok but not the disks. The utilities simply tell me there is
no "Mac OS partition" or it is of "Unknown Format" when I test or try to
mount the IDE zip drive. Disk First Aid tells me "This is not an HFS disk".

All lights seem to respond normally. Zips eject on command. I have it set
to slave. AHA! Did anybody else see that light bulb over my hear? I seem
to recall something in distant memory about drives on the ATA/66 being set
to Master. Or is that just a fleeting baseless thought?

Anybody. have 'any' ideas on what the trick is to using an atapi zip drive
on a VST ATA/66 IDE card? Is it doable? I've got the 15 gig IDE drive set
to master (and using as startup) on my other cable. Of course I haven't
found a way to fix the new cold-start problem I am having with the ide drive
either.

Thanks,

Dave
