Hi David, Does this happen when you explicitly command a download by control clicking or clicking-and-holding on the link? This has never failed, OMM [IE 5.1.4, OS 9.1, Acrobat 5.0.5] On those too frequent occasions when the visible link has not adequately described the type of target file and I didn't hover the cursor over the link to check first, I just let it load and use the 'Save to disk...' icon in the tool bar that appears in the resulting browser window. If you are certain that you never want to view PDF files withon a browser window, then you need to delete all instances of the 'Acrobat Reader' plug-in on your startup disk. Check the 'Plugins'[ aka 'Plug-ins', 'Plug-Ins', etc.] folders in all internet applications' folders, as well as the 'Internet Plug-Ins' folder in the 'System Folder'. Repeat as necessary for various users. HTH, paul -- Paul F. Henegan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
