Well it's always worth a try! I have never used it so not sure how it
would go. There could be issues due to differences in hardware on the
different machines. One of the not so nice things about Unix in general
is hardware setup can be a bit too much like Linux etc.
Just so you know. Jaguar has added support for all of the ATI family
of Video cards. Including the ATI Radeon 7000 which until Jaguar had
major issues with OSX on old machines. So it is very possible you would
have better luck with the ATI 128 card then the Twin Turbo. I don't yet
know how well the old cards work in Jaguar. It least one person is
bummed that the Voodoo 3 video card which worked with the older OSX's
no longer runs at all in Jaguar.(Voodoo cards never worked for
installing but could be used after). I just bought an ATI 128 card in
hopes of playing DVD's on my old machine. I am happy to say I got it
working in OS9 yesterday and Jaguar today with the help of a Frenchmen
on the internet! In fact I used the new Sherlock3 translating to
translate my emails to him and his to me! It works amazingly well.(both
the DVD player and Sherlock translating in both directions in 16
languages!)
I would use the ATI card and if anything seems to be going wrong do a
force re-start and try it again. I t does seem to take a couple of
starts sometimes. My last install using the ati 128 card took like 35
min and in apox 55min total I was on the web! later Will S
