Hi,
     The 24x Matshita which I've just installed in my Pulsar boots from a 
homemade disk - I've just tried it with my custom made 8.6 diagnostics 
boot cd to make sure. Didn't make it with Toast though - I used Discribe 
which takes the boot resources from a kosher cd to burn a bootable.
