As far as the iMac software goes, there are iMacs and then there are 
iMacs.  My flat panel iMac came with regular old copies of 9.2.2 and 
10.1.2, as well as the 6 iMac System Restore Disks.  However, I know a 
number of people who have the former iMacs (non-flat panel variety) and 
they have system specific disks.

I doubt that OWC is selling disks that will only work on an iMac.
