We had  problems with one of the IBM 18 GB drives (also from OWC) that 
had been adapted from 80-pin to 50-pin.  It was really slow to spin up.  
We could never get it to mount from a cold start up (it was fine on a 
restart).  Even delaying the start up of the other drive in the C600 did 
not help.  I went back and forth with OWC and IBM, and finally gave up 
and returned it.  We ended up buying a true 50-pin Segate from OWC and 
are quite happy with it. (except for the fact that it cost more!)
