The LP to AIFF file conversion for CD burning is being done on a S900 with (only) a 250/166/1mb G3 and OS 9.1. The signal is fed through the microphone jack on the front. I am using CD Spin Doctor that came bundled with Toast Titanium. The info is recorded to a 2 gb partition on a 7200 rpm UW Barracuda, controlled by a Initio Miles UW card that is in Slot 1. (Any of the partitions on the 7200 RPM IDE drive should work as well.). I have not tried recording onto the external firewire drive, and I should.
