Hi, Writing to let the list now that the Sonnet G4/800 card with which I was experiencing strange video problems is working better.
After a lot of messing around I found that the ixMicro Ulimate Rez card needs to sit in slot A. Here it is happy, and the horrible video problem is gone, although video peformance isnt that great. Now the problem is with my OrangeLink USB/FW card. USB services work fine but FW insists that the external FW drive needs initialised, wheras it loads fine on other G4 machines. Also the FW bus does not appear in any of the tech tools (ie system profiler, Tattle Tech, Nortons, etc). Is this normal. I have tried moving the card around to different slots, ,and have loaded the latest FW drivers (FW2.4)> Any help will be greatly appreciated.
