I think you're running into a problem native to J700s and S900s, in that the PCI setup doesn't like these cards. I'm not going to be more specific because I would get some details wrong. Others on this list are more knowledgeable would be able to better explain... I think you'll be fine if you opt for separate FW and USB cards. Thankfully those cards aren't expensive.
