I would agree, but while reading a thread one will no doubt have read 
the original quoted text at least once. Having it at the beginning can 
become repetitious.
It matters little as some of us who will remain nameless- for now- 
continue to quote multiple posts, including their own!
I think we can agree that that is the chief concern: keeping quoted 
text concise. So please forgive me if I fall into my old habit and 
top-post sometimes.
With people continually joining and dropping out, and asking about 
cd-drivers for their C500s ( a good and legitimate question) it will be 
hard to maintain the proper etiquette. I wonder if anyone is interested 
in writing a FAQ? I nominate Howie for having the patience, knowledge, 
tact and skill for just such a project. He has practically written it a 
dozen or so times already in individual responses...
