There is no need to remove the other side panel to get to the Drives. After you open the side panel, look for three tabs (they are marked with arrows in the metal) positioned on the top, bottom, and middle. When you push those in, you will be able to swing the front panel off. All you need to do then is grab behind the drives and push to the front, the whole drive bay will slide forward. You then pull the entire set out of the side. You'll have in your hand a nice drive bay cube that you can unscrew and remove the drives from.
As for the drive bay below the floppy drive(the upside down one), look on the front of the machine, there are two screws that you would remove, you can then slide out that drive. The bottom bay (the vertical one) is a cage type. My S900 is missing this piece so I can't help you there.
