To get mine to boot, I had to remove the IDE hard disk and CD ROM. Then I
replaced the IDE drive and NOT the CD ROM. I ran it without any RAM as it has
16MB in it empty-slotted. Reseating the seemingly over-stressed IDE cable helped
me get it to come to life with errors. I then replaced the IDE cable with one I
had in a parts box and it came to life.
